Everyday Essentials

IS FERTILE ME A PRENATAL?

The Fertile Me Everyday Essential supplement is indeed a prenatal vitamin for preconception.  This blend includes specifically chosen ingredients to encourage conception and boost your fertility.  Therefore, it is specifically for preconception as there are some ingredients that will be no longer necessary once you become pregnant.  There are also ingredients that you will need more of during pregnancy, so you should then switch to a prenatal formulated for pregnancy.  We hope to have our pregnancy prenatal available very soon.

We believe in supplementing purposefully.  If you are trying to conceive, you need a preconception prenatal.  When you become pregnant, you need a pregnancy prenatal.

I JUST PURCHASED A PRENATAL VITAMIN, SHOULD I FINISH IT BEFORE STARTING FERTILE ME?

NO!  Save the prenatal you just purchased to take later  Fertile Me is a supplement you should start as soon as possible on your TTC journey.  It has been custom-formulated to boost fertility, balance hormones, and increase your chances of becoming pregnant.  It is our advice to not waste anymore of your time!  The sooner you start taking this daily does of Fertile Me, the more likely you are to get a BFP!

CAN I TAKE FERTILE ME PLUS THE PRENATAL I AM ALREADY TAKING?

No, we do not recommend taking two prenatal vitamins at once.  One of the problems with prenatal vitamins on the shelves today is that they have too high of a percentage of the recommended daily values.  This is taxing on your body and not necessary to absorb the nutrients your body can actually utilize.  It really can do more harm than good to over-supplement.  It is about quality, not quantity.

IS FERTILE ME SAFE TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY?

Fertile Me is a prenatal specifically for preconception.  It includes fertility amplifiers such as CoQ10 and Inositol to increase your chances of conception, and these are not recommended to take during pregnancy.  While it will not hurt you to take F-Me while pregnant, we would suggest switching to a prenatal for pregnancy.

We are in the process of creating our own blend!  It will not include specific fertility amplifiers, and will include higher doses of certain nutrients recommended for pregnancy.  In the meantime, stop taking F-Me when you become pregnant and choose a prenatal designed to support your pregnancy.

DOES FERTILE ME CONTAIN FOLATE?

Of course it does!  It is listed on your supplement ingredient list as Vitamin B9 (as 5-MTHF).

We chose 5-MHTF (folate) for the Two Elefants supplement because it is the naturally occurring form of Vitamin B9, and is already in the form your body needs to absorb and utilize in your bloodstream.  Folic acid is a synthetic form of vitamin B9, also known as pteroylmonoglutamic acid. Unlike folate, not all of the folic acid you consume is converted into the active form of vitamin B9 — 5-MTHF — in your digestive system. Instead, it needs to be converted in your liver or other tissues.  Therefore, 5-MHTF (folate) is far superior to folic acid.

SHOULD I CONTINUE TO ALSO TAKE MY COQ10 AND INOSITOL?

No, there is no reason for you to keep taking CoQ10 and Inositol from separate bottles.  We created and designed this blend to hopefully free you from having to take pills from so many bottles each day.  Unless you have been advised by your doctor to take a larger does of any of these ingredients, F-Me is all you should need!

SHOULD I CONTINUE TO TAKE MY OTHER SUPPLEMENTS, SUCH AS VITAMIN E, THAT ARE INCLUDED IN FERTILE ME?

No, there is no reason for you to take other supplements that are already included in the F-Me blend.  That is unless, again, you have a condition or have had blood work from your doctor showing deficiencies in any of the ingredients, suggesting that you as an individual need a larger dose.  In this case, please feel free to supplement the F-Me with our professional grade supplements.

We believe in supplementing purposefully... so we have created this blend that will boost your fertility in just one daily scoop!  Other supplements are available if you need to supplement them on the advice of your doctor.  We designed it this way so that you can pick and choose your extra supplements based on YOUR individual needs, as opposed to over-supplementation.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TAKE FERTILE ME?

The beauty of this supplement is that it has everything you need in just one scoop per day.  It is best when mixed with 10-12 ounces of water, and shaken up well in a blender bottle.  The exact amount of water is your preference.

Fertile Me is also delicious mixed into hot water to make a flavorful raspberry tea-like drink.  We have also mixed it into herbal teas such as lemon ginger, cinnamon, and rooibos.  We encourage you to try it in any of your favorite hot teas that may pair well with raspberry.  Please let us know about any great combos you discover so that we can try them and share them!

DOES FERTILE ME CONTAIN ANY ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS OR OTHER INGREDIENTS CONCERNING MY DIET?

We are proud to have created a supplement that is non-GMO and free of any artificial sweeteners.  These are all natural ingredients sweetened with Monk Fruit, which is a small green melon that contains zero calories or carbohydrates, and does not raise blood glucose levels.

Fertile Me is also Vegan, Dairy-Free, and Gluten-Free.

WHY DOES FERTILE ME HAVE LESS DAILY VALUE PERCENTAGES THAN MANY OTHER PRENATAL VITAMINS ON THE MARKET?

Thank you for noticing!  Your body can only absorb and utilize so much of each vitamin and mineral.  Taking a supplement which contains thousands of percent of the FDA approved Daily Value intake is not only unnecessary and a waste of money, but can also be dangerous.  Water-soluble vitamins will be disposed of as waste, using up valuable reproductive energy and taxing your kidneys and liver.  Fat-soluble vitamins will just have nowhere to go and take even longer to process through.  We also assume that you are eating foods everyday that also provide your body with nutrients... right?

The ingredients in Fertile Me that contain slightly more than 100% daily value have been purposefully calculated based on research that suggests it has value while TTC.

WHEN DOES MY BOTTLE OF FERTILE ME EXPIRE?

F-Me expires in about two years, depending on when you receive your bottle.  The expiration date is stamped on the bottom so take a look!

WHAT ARE THE FERTILITY AMPLIFIERS AND WHY ARE THEY INCLUDED?

Our Fertility Amplifiers are Inositol and CoQ10, which you would normally have to purchase in addition to a multi-vitamin.

Myo-Inositol has proven in studies to help regulate your cycles and get you pregnant faster.  It improves insulin sensitivity and may be beneficial to patients especially with ovulatory infertility.

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is also known as Ubiquinone.  Ubiquinone plays a very important role in biology.  Studies show that supplementing CoQ10 while TTC improves the health of a woman's eggs and increases fertilization rates.

There has been debate surrounding whether or not it is more beneficial to take Ubiquinone or Ubiquinol... we can put that to rest for you right here and let you know that it does not matter.

CoQ10 actually shifts back and forth between its ubiquinone and ubiquinol form in a continuous cycle inside the body, depending on which form is needed in a particular situation.  Ubiquinol in its raw form is simply more expensive to research and manufacture.  Therefore, we chose to included Ubiquinone in the Fertile Me supplement, confidently maintaining the highest quality ingredient while keeping the product affordable for all.

WHY ISN'T OMEGA-3 INCLUDED IN THE FERTILE ME SUPPLEMENT?

We do recommend supplementing Omega-3 Fish Oil as an everyday essential while trying to conceive. However, we do not include it in the multi-vitamin blend in order to keep it free from animal products for vegetarians and vegans.

So why didn't we just include a plant-based Omega-3?  Simply put... we encourage you to get your Omega-3 fatty acids from a seafood/animal source, as it is the only concentrated source of both EPA and DHA.  The major Omega-3 fatty acid in plants is alpha-linolenic acid, which has to be converted by the body into EPA in order to be beneficially absorbed. This process leaves the body with about 1% to the more needed DHA/EPA. Therefore, the effects of plant based Omega-3 fatty acids are much more modest than the effects of EPA-rich oils.

Supplementing with a high quality source of Omega-3 fatty acids are known to be anti-inflammatory and essential nutrients for brain, fetal, and eye development.

Two Elefants offers a professional grade, certified Friend of the Sea Concentrated Omega-3 Fish Oil supplement HERE.

WHY IS THERE AN INCLUDED SUPER FOODS BLEND AND HOW DID YOU CHOOSE IT?

The vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants contained in this blend of whole super foods are important components to having healthy fertility.  They offer immune support and help to protect the body from the damage caused by free radicals. We should all know by now that a woman's fertility is a direct reflection of her overall health!

This affects fertility specifically because everything in the body is made up of cells.  Your eggs, reproductive organs, glands that produce reproductive hormones, etc., need to be protected from free radicals and functioning at their very best.

We very purposefully chose a list of whole foods with the most valuable nutrients, considering the fact that one simply cannot eat enough of them daily to reap the optimal benefits.  Who wants to eat a bushel of artichokes every day?!

HOW DO I KNOW IF I NEED TO SUPPLEMENT AN EXTRA DOSE OF A SPECIFIC INGREDIENT?

This is up to you as an individual. and will most likely be decided between you and your physician, based on medical diagnoses and deficiencies revealed through bloodwork.
